Living With a Persistent Cough That Won’t Go Away?

Explore Chronic Cough Clinical Trials in Michigan!

Chronic cough is a cough lasting longer than 8 weeks and can interfere with sleep, focus, work, and social life. Some people continue to cough despite receiving standard treatments (refractory chronic cough), while others have no identifiable cause (unexplained chronic cough). Constant coughing can cause fatigue, embarrassment, interrupted sleep, and emotional strain, and it can be hard to capture how coughs behave in real life. Many individuals feel frustrated when symptoms persist without answers, and the ongoing cough can impact confidence in social situations.

Revive Research Institute is conducting a non-interventional, observational chronic cough clinical research study to better understand how chronic cough behaves in daily life, its patterns, severity, and impact on quality of life.

You may qualify for the Chronic Cough Clinical Trials near you if you:

  • Are 21 years of age or older
  • Have had a cough for more than 8 weeks
  • Are willing to wear a non-invasive cough-monitoring wrist device for 4 weeks

About Chronic Cough Clinical Trials in Michigan

Chronic cough is a long-lasting cough that persists for more than 8 weeks and can significantly disrupt day-to-day life. In many cases, chronic cough continues even after treating common underlying conditions such as asthma, reflux, or allergies. When a cough does not respond to standard therapies, it is known as refractory chronic cough (RCC). If no clear cause is found despite thorough evaluation, it is considered an unexplained chronic cough (UCC).

Some individuals experience symptoms such as persistent throat irritation, coughing fits triggered by talking or laughing, disrupted sleep, and difficulty concentrating. Others struggle with the emotional and social impact of constant coughing, including embarrassment, fatigue, and frustration. That’s why chronic cough clinical studies are essential as they help researchers gain real-world insight into how cough behaves, and how it affects quality of life.

Chronic Cough Clinical Trials will be conducted in several locations across the United States, including Michigan. To ensure study eligibility, all participants must comply with study procedures. This observational study uses a wearable cough-monitoring device and brief daily questionnaires to collect real-life cough information.

*There is no cost to you, your private medical insurance, or the public health insurance plan for study procedures. The study-related procedures, and visits will be provided at no charge throughout the duration of the study.
